HOW TO APPLY

(ii) Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active for the duration of this recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person.
(iii) In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line.
(iv) Candidates are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.ucobank.com and click on the Home Page to open the link “Recruitment”
(v) Thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification titled “UCO BANK CLERICAL RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2011″.
(vi) Take a Print of the ‘FEE PAYMENT CHALLAN’.
(vii) Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
(viii)Go to the nearest UCO Bank Branch with the Fee payment Challan and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in the designated CBS Account as given in the fee payment challan.

(v) Take a Printout of the ‘CASH RECEIPT’/ ‘DEPOSIT CHALLAN’
(vi) Fill in the Cash Receipt in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
(vii) Go to the nearest United Bank Branch with the Cash Receipt and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in CBS Account No 00980124261076 (maintained at H.O.). The details of fee to be paid is indicated below

Payment of application fee and/ or postal charges by Demand Draft /Cheques/ Money Orders/ Postal Order etc will not be accepted.
(viii) Obtain the Applicant’s Copy of Counterfoil of the Cash Receipt duly receipted by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & Code Number, (b) Transaction ID, (c) Date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official.
(ix) Candidates are now ready to Apply Online by re-visiting the appropriate Recruitment Link on the Bank’s website and choosing the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR THE POST OF PROBATIONARY OFFICER” to open up the Online Application Form.
(x) Carefully fill in the details from the Cash Receipt in the Online Application Form at the appropriate places. Fill in all other required details therein and click on the “SUBMIT” button at the end of the Online Application Form.
(xi) Original counterfoil of the Cash Receipt will have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of written test. Without the counterfoil of the Cash Receipt the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test. Candidates are advised to keep a photocopy of the Cash Receipt for future use.
(xii) After applying online, take a print out of system generated online application form and retain it for future reference. Do not send this printout to the Bank.
(xiii) The name of the candidate or his/her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
(xiv) Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fees to avoid the possibility of dis-connection/inability/failure to log on the Bank’s website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam.
(xv) The Bank does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons mentioned in the para – xiv or for any other reason beyond the control of the Bank.
(xvi) The advertisement notifying the vacancies is also available on Bank’s website address www.unitedbankofindia.com Candidates are advised to remain in touch with Bank’s website for any information which may be put for further guidance.
(xvii) Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the application printout and Cash Receipt for their record. They should not send the Printout or the Cash Receipt to the Bank under any circumstances.
(xviii) There is a provision to modify the submitted online application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in online application, if any. This Modification facility shall be available After this date, no modification will be permitted. Eligibility
Student should be an Indian National and should have secured admission to the relevant Professional/ Technical courses in India or Abroad through Entrance Test/ Merit Based Selection process. However there is no age restriction for the applicant.

Graduation courses : BA, B.Com., B.Sc., etc.
Post Graduation courses : Masters & Phd. Professional Courses :Engineering, Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Law, Dental, Management, Computer courses (BCA / MCA / BSc-CS, etc)
Animation /Cartooning/ multimedia/Graphic Designing, etc. where the course period should be one year and above & the courses conducted by reputed Institutions and the Institute to fulfil any of the following criteria:
(i) NASSCOM rated/certified
(ii) AICTE affiliated
(iii) Accredited to any UGC affiliated university in India
(iv) Affiliated to reputed Foreign Universities
Computer certificate courses of reputed institutes accredited to Dept., of Electronics or institutes affiliated to University.
Courses like ICWA, CA, CFA etc. Courses conducted by IIM, IIT, IISc, XLRI.NIFT etc.
Pilot Training Programme. (Government or recognized private institute approved by Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India).
Courses offered in India by reputed foreign universities.
Evening courses of approved institutes.
Other courses leading to diploma/ degree etc, conducted by colleges/ universities approved by UGC/ Govt/ AICTE/ AIBMS/ ICMR etc.
Courses offered by National Institutes and other reputed private institutions. Banks may have the system of appraising other institution courses depending on future prospects/ recognition by user institutions.
B)Studies Abroad
Graduation: For job oriented professional / technical courses offered by the reputed university.
Post graduation: MCA, MBA, MS, etc.
Courses conducted by CIMA-London, CPA in USA, etc.
Pilot Training Programme offered by recognized institutions abroad approved by competent authority in that country. Example in USA the Federal Aviation Administration, Government of USA.
The licences issued by such institutions should be convertible into corresponding Indian Licences in case the applicant desires to take up employment in India after completion of course/ training abroad, as per directives of Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India.

Rate of Interest
BPLR – 1.25 % p.a. Floating
Simple interest basis during study & repayment holiday period (upto one year after completion of the course or six months after securing a job, whichever is earlier)
Concession for Girl Students : Our Bank has extended a 0.50 % interest concession to Girl Students for loans availed on or after 01.11.2008 and will be effective till 31.12.2010. This interest concession will be extended till closure of the loan.
Note: 1% interest concession is provided for loanees if the interest is serviced during the study period.
There will be NO Pre-payment and NO Pre-Closure Charges
